MAN B&W Diesel Service in Denmark takes one step closer to e-business with the latest addition to their service activities. The Tracking System is a free-of-charge Extranet service from which all customers buying original MAN Diesel spare parts for two and four-stroke engines can benefit.
The system will save customers much time through the ability to track an order from their own desk instead of having to contact MAN Diesel every time a question arises.
With the Tracking System it is possible to follow any spare part order from the moment it is shipped to the arrival at the destination.
The system enables the customer to:
- Track any order from a ship
- See the size and weight of any shipment
- See the contents of all orders
- Change the delivery address
A customer can join the tracking system through either of the links listed to the right or by contacting their usual contact person at MAN Diesel Service in Copenhagen.
The first time a user enters the Order Tracking system, he should register as a new user and will then receive his password.
The system, developed by MAN B&W Diesel and TradeVision, is updated every five minutes so it will always have the latest information about any shipment. It is very user-friendly but also has an on-line help feature, and MAN B&W Diesel Service or their local representatives are always willing to help with any questions, as the system is already used as the standard tracking tool by MAN Diesel Service.
This initiative, which has already been adopted by many customers, brings MAN B&W Diesel one step closer to e-business.
