Modifications and/or modernisations of main engines in service - adapting them to meet current or future operational conditions - have become more and more common for MAN Diesel, the leading designer of main engines.

Reduced fuel oil and spare parts consumption is often gained with such modifications, but this is not the main objective today: reliability, reduced pollution and higher safety in compliance with the charter are of even greater importance.

At the request of operators, experienced technicians are busy co-ordinating and exploiting their expertise for such projects.

Learn more about modernising main engines by contacting the Technical Service Department at Diesel Service Copenhagen.
